Santa Teresa Driving Range​ is located in San Jose, California and has 43 all mat hitting stations (no grass). It’s open 7 days a week, sunrise to sundown with weekly maintenance scheduled Monday mornings​. The range has no special technology like Toptracer or Trackman and is not lighted or covered.

The driving range is attached to Santa Teresa Golf Club, a popular 27-hole public golf facility. The facility features the challenging par-71, 6,742-yard main course (opened in 1963, designed by George E. Santana) as well as one of the finest par-3 short courses in Northern California called “Shorty” (designed by Gene Bates in 1996).

Location & Layout

The 43-stall driving range is located near the clubhouse/pro shop area. The range runs parallel to the short course (“Shorty”), which is positioned near Hole 5 of the main course. The practice facility includes the driving range, putting green, and chipping/sand practice area, all accessible from the parking lot and clubhouse.​

Range Ball Purchase & Dispensing System​

Purchase Process:

1. Walk to the driving range area near the clubhouse

2. Locate the range vending machine at the driving range

3. Purchase balls directly at the vending machine using credit card or cash (EXACT CHANGE ONLY for cash)

4. Select bucket size: Small $4.00 (22 balls), Medium $8.00 (50 balls), or Large $15.00 (115 balls)

5. Machine dispenses balls into bucket

6. Select any available mat hitting station among the 43 stalls

7. Begin practice

Dispensing Method: Automated vending machine at the range. No tokens, tickets, or pro shop purchase required. Golfers purchase directly from the machine.
