San Jose Municipal Golf Course is a straight forward par 72 layout with open fairways on flat terrain offers a pleasant experience for golfers of all abilities. It’s the perfect course if you like to walk. The golf course has 18 holes and is open to the public. Dress code is casual but many people often wear stricter golf attire. As for golf course features and conditions: The course is pretty flat and open with wide fairways and rough on each hole. Tee shots are pretty forgiving here. The tee boxes are in good shape. The fairways and rough are typically maintained in good shape. Approach shots into the green are forgiving even from the rough. The greens are typically pretty big, but putting seems to be the hardest part about the course. Golfers seem to struggle with getting the speed and breaks nailed down. However, you can’t blame it on the condition because the greens are kept in good condition, especially for a muni course. There are few areas around the course with rough patches, but it’s not too hard to play from. The sand traps sometimes hold water so keep an eye out for that. As far as the other facilities: the course comes with a driving range, chipping green, putting green, pro shop, and restaurant.
