Vibe Notes: Best Bang for Your Buck: Almost every review mentions the excellent value. It is widely considered the most affordable full 18-hole experience in the Sacramento area. The Beginner’s Safe Haven: Redditors consistently recommend it for new or novice golfers because the fairways are wide, flat, and forgiving. There is very little pressure to perform, making it a “chill experience”. Casual & Laid-Back Vibe: Reviewers describe a low-key, non-fussy atmosphere where there is almost no dress code and the staff are generally warm and accommodating. Rough Around the Edges: Users on Reddit and Yelp agree the course is not pristine. Common complaints include patchy fairways, “mud bogs” during the wet season, and range mats that have “seen better days”.

Your First Visit (Step-by-Step)

Parking
1) Entrance: Drive into the main entrance located at 9425 Jackson Rd, Sacramento, CA 95826. 2) Lot Selection: The facility offers a free parking lot located directly in front of the main clubhouse and Pro Shop. Accessibility: There are dedicated wheelchair accessible parking spaces available near the entrance. Overhead: If the main lot is full (common on weekend mornings), free street parking is also available.
1) Check-In: Walk into the Pro Shop first. You cannot buy balls directly at the machine with cash or card. 2) Request: Ask the attendant for a bucket of range balls. They offer Small, Medium, and Large quantities. 3) Payment: Pay using Credit, Debit, or NFC mobile payments (like Apple Pay). The course is generally not cash-only. 4) The Code: Upon payment, you will receive a register receipt containing a unique dispenser code. 5) Locate the Machine: Exit the Pro Shop and follow the signs toward the Driving Range. The ball dispenser machine is located near the start of the hitting line. 6) Dispensing: Place an empty bucket (found in stacks near the machine) under the chute and enter your code on the keypad.
staff
1) Choosing a Bay: The range is a long linear strip with various “stalls” or hitting stations. 2) Mats vs. Grass: You can choose to stand at a synthetic mat station or, if available and open for the season, a grass hitting station. 3) Where to Stand: Look for an open station. Etiquette dictates that you stay within the designated area of your mat to ensure safety for others. Lighting: If you are there in the evening, the range is fully lighted, so you can pick any available spot under the lights
