Description

Cinnabar Hills Golf Club is one of Northern California’s premier public golf facilities, featuring a unique 27-hole layout located in the hills overlooking Coyote Valley in San Jose’s Silicon Valley. Opened in 1998 as San Jose’s first public course in 30 years, Cinnabar Hills was designed by award-winning architect John Harbottle III and is routinely ranked among the top 10 golf courses in Northern California.

The facility is managed by Troon Golf, one of the industry’s leading golf course management companies, ensuring championship-level conditions and service.

The Three Nines – Unique Course Design

Cinnabar Hills offers three distinct 9-hole courses that can be combined into six different 18-hole championship combinations:

1. The Canyon Course (Par 36)

  • 3,238 yards from Hawk tees

  • Features 27 strategically placed bunkers throughout

  • Concentrates on sand hazards requiring precise iron play

2. The Lake Course (Par 36)

  • 3,450 yards from Hawk tees

  • Includes six water hazards that come into play

  • Most scenic of the three nines with lake views

3. The Mountain Course (Par 36)

  • 3,403 yards from Hawk tees

  • Very hilly terrain with significant elevation changes

  • Makes negotiating greens particularly difficult
