Course Notes: ---Hardest Holes ---Hole 8 (Par-4, 403 yards): The #1 handicap hole. Water hazard comes into play about 200 yards out on the left, and a pond borders the left side of the green. Need enough club to clear the water on approach.​ ---Hole 3 (Par-3, 213 yards): The #5 handicap - very long par 3 that looks shorter than it plays. Wind is a major factor. Anything short leaves a difficult pitch; too far left puts you in the bushes.​ ---Hole 14 (Par-5, 523 yards): One of the longest holes on the course. Fairway narrows around the 200-yard mark with a slope to the left and bunker complex in fairway. The #4 handicap hole.​ ---Hole 17 (Par-5, 548 yards): Requires navigating a narrow fairway with a blind approach shot to a large green. Views of the valley but challenging throughout.​ ---Hole 13 (Par-3, 195 yards): Plays much longer due to elevated, double-tiered green sloping left. Green is reachable for long hitters with helping wind.​ ---Hole 4 (Par-4, 292 yards): Short par 4 - a conservative 180-yard tee shot leaves a short iron approach. Risk/reward with water hazard for longer shots.​ ---Hole 5 (Par-3, 152 yards): Shorter par 3 over water. Two-tiered green, but center of green is a safe target.​

Canyon Lakes Golf Course & Brewery is a public 18-hole golf course located in San Ramon, California, in the East Bay of Northern California. Designed by renowned architect Ted Robinson, Sr., the course opened in 1986/1987 and was the first upscale daily fee golf course in the East Bay. Under current ownership since 2015 by Don Naumann, the facility uniquely combines golf with an on-site craft microbrewery that opened in 2017.
