Description
Golden Gate Park Golf Course is a public municipal course located at 970 47th Avenue in the northwest corner of Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. Built in 1951 and designed by Jack Fleming (a former collaborator with Alister MacKenzie), this 9-hole par-3 course sits on natural sand dunes just two blocks from the Pacific Ocean. After a devastating 2018 clubhouse fire and extensive 2023 renovation by architect Jay Blasi, the course reopened in February 2024 with modernized facilities and improved playability.
